During the three-week semester, junior Ian Gordon completed the Social Justice in the Southern U.S. study away course. The course took students to various cities in the south to discuss pressing social justice issues and learn how local community-based groups address these issues. “I learned the importance of solidarity in organizing,” Gordon said. This installation is from the National 
Memorial for Peace and Justice, which commemorates victims of lynching and racial terrorism.
