Guilford Quakers’ NCAA championship run ends in the semifinals

A packed home game at Ragan-Brown as the Guilford Quakers take on the defending champion Christopher Newport Captains on March 9.

After a very successful run to make the Final Four in the NCAA Division III men’s basketball tournament, the Guilford Quakers lost to the Hampden-Sydney Tigers with a final score of 62-57.

While the season may have come to an end, the Quakers gave the entire Guilford community a season to remember with some intense and exciting moments on the court. These photos highlight some moments during the Quakers’ run in some of their more recent games.

He loves all sports but particularly enjoys NASCAR, Football, and Mixed Martial Arts. Alongside the paper, Jacob is also a member of the Guilford College Track & Field Team.

Faheem is an early college senior who hopes to pursue higher studies in neuroscience and health policy. He enjoys playing Souls games, watching and playing basketball and football, and spending time with friends.
