The former 47th vice president of the United States of America and Democratic presidential candidate for the 2020 November presidential election, Joseph Biden, was seen on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2020 in Florida at one of his first political campaigns.

During said campaign, Biden decided to play ten seconds of the hit song “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee. I think he decided to do this because he wanted to win over Latinx voters. However, by doing this, members of the Latinx community thought it was really “cringy” and “pandering to Latino voters.”

I feel like Biden could have made better decisions about how to get his Latinx voters to understand and like to vote for him more. He could have talked about more actions that he would take for the Latinx community, such as helping the DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) immigration policy stay in place.

I think when Biden and other Democratic candidates make “silly and confounding mistakes” it distracts our society and the voters from the idea that this presidential election is really important and should not be taken lightly.

I think Biden might have a chance of being President Trump if he starts to focus on the overall picture, instead of looking at small details. What I mean by this is that instead of focusing on doing something fun and silly, he should really start being more serious about helping our country, and should talk about the steps he will take to make those ideas and concepts actually happen.

Biden does, in fact, seem out of touch these days. He should know how to show the American people what he is going to do for our country, since he does have experience being in the White House. I do not know why he does not use that past experience to help him when he is talking to future voters.

There are negative aspects of both presidential and vice-presidential candidates. On one hand, we have an alleged pedophile for a presidential candidate and a homophobic vice-presidential candidate. On the other hand, we have another alleged pedophile for a presidential candidate and another homophobic vice presidential candidate. Both Trump and Biden have had multiple sexual allegations come out against them.

I believe that having any sexual allegations against you should be grounds for ineligibility to hold political office. Both vice-presidential candidate Kamala Harris and Vice President Michael Pence are opposed to same-sex marriage equality.
I believe that opposing equal rights for people of different sexual orientations, gender identities, sexes, ethnicities and nationalities should be grounds for this ineligibility as well.

Overall, I believe that if Biden could talk more about what he wants and thinks is best for this country, instead of making jokes and trying to win over every single voter, he would gain the approval of the majority of voters.

From what I have seen, it looks like most of the people who say that they are going to vote for Biden do so because they would rather have Trump out of the office. I feel like this is a really dangerous thought for our society.
