Phattest room contest 3rd Place

Mary Johnson — Student Apartments
Senior Mary Johnson did a very gutsy, creative thing to her room — she painted the back wall red. (Shh…don’t tell the administration.) Then she put a tall green plant next to it (complimentary colors, you know), a green chair in front of that, and hung a circular bule lantern from the ceiling. White Christmas lights and a soft white curtain atop the window add the finishing touches. Her interest in Latin America is evident through the Nicaragua poster above her desk, the Guatemalan license plate on the wall, and the variety of photographs she took during her travels to Guatemala, Nicaragua, and El Salvador. Miles Davis, a soothing blue poster, fluffy pillows, and string beads are also neat and unique touches to the third- place winner of our contest.
