Senate Update

An important conversation was held this week in Senate on the topic of sexual assault. The concepts of consent, sexual assault, rape culture and victim blaming were thoroughly discussed in this meeting. Sexual assault occurs on all college campuses and Guilford is no different. Last semester, there were 31 reports of sexual misconduct. These reports include sexual harassment, sexual assault and relationship violence. Such Senate discussions as that occurring this week should happen throughout the semester to keep students informed about the topic and its importance.
