All members of our ticket, Kate Doom, Sam Meyers, Cassie Baker, and Taleisha Bowen, are active members of the First Year Advisory Board and have experience planning and organizing events. We all enjoy putting time and effort into planning fun, creative events. As nerdy as it sounds, we are all anxious to get things done! Each of us brings our own talents, unique ideas, and different interests to the group. We all enjoy doing different things on the weekends, which assures that different types of events and viewpoints will be brought to the campus.

Cassie Baker, who has experience as secretary, is optimistic, and tends to look at ideas and proposals in a very broad sense. She has wonderful problem solving abilities.

Taleisha Bowen talks to the right people, and gets the job done.

Sam Meyers is the “idea man.” He has vast experience as vice president in different organizations including Miler Hall Council and Hillel. He works well under pressure and has connections to a good pizza place.

Kate has solid leadership skills and takes initiative while delegating authority and responsibility well. When she puts her mind to something, she gets it done.

Together, we make a great team.

When we first announced that we were running for Union, many of our friends didn’t know what Union is or does. We really want to build Union into something notable and active. We are the only ticket running. We don’t want this to be the case in future elections. We want Union to grow into an organization that students want to be a part of. We are going to restructure Union and bring a variety of students, talents, and interests into the mix. We are going to be working in a committee structure for the most part, with different committees planning different events. This will assure that every event has a distinct flavor and style.
