My editor is probably going to kill me, but I guess it is better late than never for the first blog of the season.

I guess first things first, welcome to my online baseball blog. My name is Will, and I suppose I am a super senior at Guilford. I hold down the backstop as one of the team’s catchers, which means my primary responsibility is dealing with the pitching staff.

Although our season is already nine games underway, we are just now heading into our conference schedule. For those who don’t know, conference is the meat and potatoes of our schedule, and probably the only platform on which we are graded.

This year’s conference opener will be no cake walk..we take on Lynchburg College in a home and away series this weekend. Hopefully we will walk away with two wins and I can have something super exciting to write about in my next blog. In the meantime, check out our schedule and try to come check out the Quakers this Spring. As for me..

I’ll try to do better next time, but I have to get some rest for our away game against Ferrum College tomorrow afternoon.
