The documentary Super Size Me is nothing but a crock. The documentarian, Morgan Spurlock did not eat three square meals a day at McDonald’s. In fact, by his own admission, he ate multiple desserts and snacked between meals. At each meal, he ate more than double what the average person would eat. In order for Mr. Spurlock to gain the 25 lbs in the 30 days shown in the film, he would have to consume in excess of 5000 calories per day with absolutely no exercise whatsoever. The average person doesn’t eat three Big Macs with fries and two desserts for every meal.
As documented on www.techcentralstation.com, Ruth Kava, Ph.D., R.D., Director of Nutrition at the American Council of Science and Health, published an article about a 30-day McDonald’s diet where her subjects actually LOST weight.
There’s an old saying that says “everything in moderation.” Even something as necessary to the body as water can be lethal if you consume too much of it.
Don’t stop eating at McDonald’s. Stand up and TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR ACTIONS! All this film has done is promote the “I’m not responsible for my actions” line of thinking.
Repeat after me: I AM NOT A VICTIM!
