Storum graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in graphic design. For three years, she has been a customer service supervisor and cashier coordinator for Addams University Bookstore, which is also operated by Follett.
Two interim managers, Rachel Pertzsch and Shamone Washington, have been running the bookstore since Walker left in August, according to Boothby.
"Matt (Walker) made some very positive changes to the bookstore," Boothby said. "I hope that it will continue on a positive streak with the new manager."
Long-term plans for Follett as the bookstore's provider have not yet been determined. While its contract with Guilford has expired, the college continues to use Follett as its provider. There is no set deadline at this time to find a replacement.
"First we have to figure out the spring semester," Boothby said. "(Follett's) contract ended April 1, but Follett will stay here until we have a chance to make a change."
