Men's Athletics

Baseball
The Quakers opened the ODAC tournament April 28 against Virginia Wesleyan. Guilford is seeded third in the double-elimination tournament.
The team secured the tourney bracket at the close of an unprecedented fifth straight 20+ win season. The Quakers are currently 23-15, with two games and the tournament left on the schedule.

Lacrosse
The Quakers end their season with a 4-8 record.
After 18 months at the helm, head coach John Burke resigned at the start of the 2005 season. Burke was replaced by interim head coach Andrew Rowe.
The team ended a 72-game ODAC losing streak April 9 against Virginia Wesleyan. The win was their first against an ODAC team since 1993.

Golf
Guilford's golfers wrapped up the 2005 season with a first-place finish in the Navy Spring Invitational; their fifth tournament wins of the season.
The Quakers, previously ranked second, fell to third place in the Golf Coach's Association of America/ Bridgestone Division III Coach's Poll, released April 15.
Colin Clarke '07 took home two ODAC golfer-of-the-week award this season.

Tennis
After an exciting winning season, the Quakers ended 2005 with a third-place finish in the April 17th ODAC tournament.
The team went 8-1 in league play. The Quakers opened the season with a six-game winning streak before falling to Hampden-Sydney, the team's only loss of the season.


Women's Athletics

Lacrosse
The Quakers end the season with a 5-9 record, a one-win improvement over 2004.
In 2004 many of the team's veterans graduated, so 2005 has been a year of transitions. Matthew Grosso was named head coach, and an influx of first-year talent helped redefine the team. The Quakers have no seniors on their roster and hope to build on the strength of returning players in 2006.

Softball
The Quakers finished their season with a 16-24 record after an April 23 ODAC tourney that eliminated the team after two games.
The women end 2005 seven wins ahead of where they were last year.

Tennis
The Quakers end the regular 2005 season with a 7-9 record. The team went 1-7 in the ODAC league.
The squad traveled to Roanoke, VA April 22-25 to compete in the 2005 ODAC Championship tournament where they finished eleventh out of twelve teams.
