It almost feels as if I have been anticipating the end of the semester for the last five weeks. In a way, I have been preparing for it for at least that long.

And so it amazes me that I have been taken by surprise with exams. Not that I am unprepared for the academic side of the end of the semester, but I don't think that I am quite prepared to leave for the summer already.

Didn't I just get back from being abroad? Don't I have another semester left? And what's with these seniors leaving and not coming back?

I find that I have no choice, but to accept that all of this is true. This is the last issue of The Guilfordian and the first day of finals.

I'll leave this article short, as so many other things tend to be right now (time, papers, etc.). I hope everyone has a fabulous summer and gets what they want/need/etc. I hope it is good to you as I anticipate it will. And I leave you with the winners of this year's Dick Dyer Awards.

We live in a wonderful community and appreciate it too little at times. Before leaving for the summer or for life outside of Guilford, take time to appreciate the campus, the community, and the people that make it a place we all love.
